About Jack & Sonya
Jack grew up sailing every weekend on the East Coast, throughout the Chesapeake Bay and Intracoastal Waterway.
He trained and worked as a BMW service technician in North Carolina and California before entering the marine industry. With this background, maintenance and repair is right in his ballpark. In addition, his experience in construction gives him the tools and knowledge needed to refit interiors, install new electronics as well as make the final product look flawless.
Jack also has a 50 Ton Masters captain’s license with sailing and towing endorsements.
Sonya has been an avid sailor for over 16 years and loves life aboard Gemini, a 42' sailboat. Her craftiness and attention to detail comes to good use when painting, polishing or retrofitting boats.
She has a 50 Ton Masters license with sailing endorsement and experience teaching sailing on San Francisco Bay. To expand her skills, she has worked at a marine chandler, a sail loft & boatyard office in the Bay Area.
She now runs a social media management company bringing marine businesses into the fast paced era of social media marketing.
At Spirit Marine Services, we specialize in vessel consulting & systems upgrades. Our clients are located all over the world and we travel to them, as well as work remotely, to help them with all their boat needs. We bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and insight to the table.
With years of experience in boat ownership and in the marine industry, we are dedicated to helping clients solve their problems and make the most of their time on the water.
We have experience on vessels ranging from sailboats to catamarans to trawlers, and have been cruising the Sea of Cortez, MX on our own 42’ Passport for the past year. We look forward to helping make your marine dreams come true.
